Are you ready to try socks but the skinny yarns and double-pointed needles intimidate you? Ease in with these thick slipper-socks, knit toe-up using the "Magic Loop" technique on one circular needle. Class covers the basic techniques of toe-up construction, including seamless cast-on for the toe, short rows, and stretchy bind-off.
1. Target gauge is 3.5 st/in.
2. Bulky yarn, such as Ewe Ewe’s Baa Baa Bulky, Manos del Uruguay’s Franca, Baah Sequoia, fairiegrl Kelpi, Lamb’s Pride Bulky, etc.)
3. Needles: one US 10 (6 mm) circular needle, 32" or longer.
(If you are a loose knitter, go down a needle size or two.)
4. Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers
