Description: In this class we will be learning some basic stitches and techniques:
· How to read yarn labels/what yarn works for which project
· Casting on
· Magic Circle
· Chain Stitch
· Slip Stitch
· Single Crochet
· Picot
· Increasing
· Decreasing
· Crocheting in rows
· Crocheting in the round
· Crocheting in the front loop/back loop only
· Casting off
· Weaving in the ends
You will learn how to make a washcloth and a strawberry over the course of the class.
Materials:
You will need yarn, preferably worsted weight in any color but white, black, or anything extremely dark. Please also do not choose any decorative yarn such as eyelash or chenille
A size F, G, or H hook is appropriate for this weight of yarn (Feel free to bring a variety of sizes so you can find the one that works best for your learning process.)
A stitch marker, stitch counter, yarn needle, and a pair of scissors will all be helpful items for this class.
