Description: The stunning yet simple lace pattern of Cloudland creates the illusion of swirling cables, without having to actually knit cables! Knitters will learn simple increase and decrease stitches to create a thumb gusset, a new way to knit in the round, and simple lace stitches in this introduction to lace patterns.
Note: Instructor uses the Magic Loop method of knitting in the round, while the pattern is written for double pointed needles so there will be some adjustments. While either method is welcome (and encouraged) for this class, those new to knitting small items in the round will learn Magic Loop.

‘Cloudland’ pattern (available for in-store purchase via ravelry).
200yd of any sock/fingering weight yarn — light colors, and yarn with a bit of give are best suited for this pattern. Recommended yarns: La Jolla by Baah Yarn, Ewe Ewe Fluffy Fingering, Mary Ann by Wonderland Yarns, Finito by Malabrigo, Squishy by Anzula.
US 2/2.75mm needles on your preference of 24”, 32”, or 40” circular, or 6”-8” double pointed needles.
Notions: 3 stitch markers, scrap yarn (or preferred stitch holder), tapestry needle, scissors, desired method of row counting & note-taking
