Description: Want to learn how to make a basic sock? This class teaches how to make socks from the cuff down to the toe including learning the traditional heel flap, heel turn, and gusset. Once these basic techniques are learned, you’ll be able to knit a large variety of sock patterns. There will be required homework between classes. Magic Loop and DPN knitters are both welcome.
**Prerequisites: Knitters must know how to knit SSK and K2tog decreases, and be able to knit in the round.**
Fingering / Sock weight yarn - at least 350 yards. Please wind yarn in a cake prior to the start of class.
Suggested yarns: Wonderland Yarns Mary Ann, Baah La Jolla, Faeriegrl, Three Irish Girls Springvale Sock, or anything else you think looks fabulous!
Needles: one set US 1 (2.25mm) or US 2 (2.75mm) 40” circular needle / DPNs
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers
