****PREREQS: MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DOUBLE KNITTING***
Description: This class is intended to work on and develop double knitting techniques that you already have. In this class, we will be working on a pattern that develops two different designs on opposite sides of the same fabric. This technique is great for avoiding mirrored images and is very useful when double knitting letters or numbers. At the end of this class, you will have learned how to read an asymmetrical double knitting pattern as well as the beginning of a pattern to practice your newfound skills.
Materials: 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors, a set of 5.5mm (or yarn appropriate) knitting needles (can use either circular or straight needles), some markers (not required but helpful), a pair of yarn scissors and needle to weave in ends for when the project is completed.
