**Prerequisites: Knitters must be proficient with the following skills: how to cast on, knit, kfb increases, and SSK decreases**
 
Description: Ever wonder what to do with a sock set that isn’t a pair of socks? Spring Thing by Espace Tricot is an asymmetrical shawlette featuring a fun border (with tassels!) that will bring a fun pop of color to your spring wardrobe. Simple garter stitches with easy increases and decreases keep you engaged throughout, finishing with a simple contrasting color border for extra flair.

Materials:

Pattern (free on Ravelry)

Fingering / Sock weight yarn - one full skein (approx 400 yd/100g skein) and one mini or partial skein (approx 87 yd/20g)

Suggested yarns: Wonderland Yarns Mary Ann, Baah La Jolla, or anything in your favorite solid, speckled, or lightly variegated color. Two complimentary colors are ideal, so you can easily use leftovers too!

Needles:

Main needle: US 6 (4mm) 24” circular
Border needle: US 8 (5mm) 32” circular
Optional bind off needle that is US 10 (6mm) or two sizes larger than border needle if you generally BO tightly. 
You can also use just one 32” circular needle for the whole pattern - totally personal preference.
Notions: crochet hook for tassels,1 locking stitch marker
