***PRE-REQS: Learners taking this course should be comfortable and have an understanding of basic crochet stitches (chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, and double crochet)***
Description: Have you started learning crochet and ready to learn more? Welcome! In this 2 session course you will build upon your existing crochet knowledge. After a quick review of the basics and some stretches, you will learn how to create and use a swatch for gauge, changing colors/skeins, crocheting in the round, and increasing/decreasing. A review of pattern reading and instruction on up to 2 basic granny squares will be made throughout the learning process.
Materials: Two crochet hooks sizes H (5mm) and J (6mm). Two skeins of smooth, worsted/medium weight yarn in light colors you like. A small pair of scissors. A tapestry needle that can be plastic or metal. Avoid fuzzy or dark colored yarn for this course.
