**Prerequisites: Knitters must be proficient with the following skills: how to cast on, knit, purl, SSK and K2tog decreases, and knitting in the round.**
 
Description: Want to learn how to make a basic sock? This class teaches how to construct socks from the cuff down to the toe including learning the traditional heel flap, heel turn, and gusset. Once these basic techniques are learned, you’ll be able to knit a large variety of sock patterns. There will be required homework between classes. Magic Loop and DPN knitters are both welcome. Pattern included with class.
 
Materials:
Fingering / Sock weight yarn - at least 350 yards. Please wind yarn in a cake prior to the start of class.
Suggested yarns: Wonderland Yarns Mary Ann, Baah La Jolla, Faeriegrl, or anything else you think looks fabulous! Choose a light to medium color that is solid, multi-tonal, or lightly variegated.
Needles: one set US 1 (2.25mm) or US 2 (2.75mm) 40” circular needle / DPNs
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers
