Description: Have you been curious about Stephen West’s annual MKALs, but feel intimidated by them? Get your feet wet and expand your knitting vocabulary with this playful sampler shawl (and past MKAL). This gorgeous top down semi-circle will introduce you to short-rows, two-color brioche, ribbing, slipped stitches, striping, chevron, and i-cord edging / bind-off. You’ll gain the confidence to dive right into the 2025 MKAL, come October!
***Prerequisites: Knitter must know and be comfortable with cast-on, knit, and purl, as well as basic increases.***
Materials:
- 920-950 yards fingering weight yarn:
Color A: 275 yds
Color B: 200 yds
Color C: 185 yds
Color D: 260 yds
- size US 6 40-47” circular needle and tapestry needle.
