Description: Learn to knit a top down sweater without having to seam. Students will follow the Flax pattern by Tin Can Knits using worsted weight yarn. Each knitter will follow the process of measuring, swatching and following a sweater pattern. Everyone is welcome as this pattern is size inclusive and gender neutral. This class is a great opportunity to make your first sweater!
Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn- yardage is dependent on your desired size (please allow time for a sweater quantity of desired yarn to be specially ordered for you, if need be.)
Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rounds / 4” in stockinette stitch using larger needles
Needles: US #6 / 4 mm and US #8 / 5 mm (or as required to meet gauge)
0 - 4 yrs: 16” circulars and DPNs in each size
4 yrs - XS: 16” circulars, 24” circulars, and DPNs in each size
S – 4XL: 16” circulars, 32” circulars, and DPNs in each size

Recommended tools: darning needle, measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers and desired materials for note taking.
