Needle Felting:  Celestial Hanging

Description:  Are you a star gazer? Let’s make a magical celestial hanging so you can
always see the night sky even when it’s cloudy. We’ll use wool and various mini cookie cutters to create 3 or more shapes to string together for a fun little hanging. You can choose to add details to your mini shapes as time permits. We will finish off your work by stringing beads between your shapes and adding a loop for your hanging. The ornament stand is provided. 
*Note: more detailed options and embellishments will be available for the more experienced felter as time permits

Materials:  You will need: 
at least 2 medium (38 gauge) needles and 2 small (40 gauge) needles. Needles break easily, so it’s good idea to have a spare or 2 just in case.
a small assortment—3 or 4 colors—of roving wool in any colors you like. 
These materials may be purchased in-store before class. All other supplies will be provided.
**If you have any large-ish beads in your craft stash (at least 8mm on up), bring them! That way you can add some sparkle to your celestial hanging. Instructor will have some odds and ends as well, to share.
