Description: What’s your favorite tourist destination? Let’s create a frameable city in silhouette! I will help you to keep your design simple or help you to make it as fancy-shmancy as you like! We will finish off your scene by framing your work.
*Note: more detailed options and embellishments will be available for the more experienced felter as time permits.
Materials: You will need:
- at least 2 medium (38 gauge) needles and 2 small (40 gauge) needles. Needles break easily, so it’s good idea to have a spare or 2 just in case. Tracy will have extras on hand as well.
- a small assortment—4 colors—of wool roving in sunset/sunrise (yellow, orange, red) colors. Don’t forget black for the silhouette. The Wistyria brand sold at Yarn It comes in 6.3 g (.2 oz) and is more than enough.
All materials may be purchased at Yarn It before class.
The rest of these supplies will be provided: felting pad, needle holders, finger protectors (safety first!), a multi-needle holder for you to try out, templates, scissors, and a frame—as well as a handout of Tracy’s Felting Tips and Tricks and a “Hand Made with Love” sticker if you’d like to give your city silhouette as a gift.
