Description: Spring has sprung! Let’s smell the flowers! Come make a needle felted flower on fabric with us! You can choose to use a cookie cutter or template for your flower, or you can freehand your design. Tracy will help you keep your design simple or make it as fancy-shmancy as you’d like! We will finish off your flower on fabric by stretching it in an
embroidery hoop for display on a wall or mini easel.
Materials: You will need:
at least 2 medium (38 gauge) needles and 2 small (40 gauge) needles. Needles break easily, so it’s good idea to have a spare or 2 just in case.
a small assortment — 4 or 5 colors — of wool roving in any colors you like, but don’t forget green for leaves! The Wistyria brand sold at Yarn It comes in 6.3 g (.2 oz) and is more than enough.
a 4-inch or 6-inch embroidery hoop.
These materials may be purchased in-store before class. All other supplies will be provided, including background fabric.
