Description: Knitting large projects means needing more than one skein of yarn. Are you ready to take on a multi-skein project?
In Second Skein, What?, students will learn multiple ways to join a second skein of yarn, whether it’s the same color they’re already using or a different color altogether. Students will also learn how to knit stripes with alternating colors, all while keeping the swearing and crying to a minimum.
Required materials:
- Two contrasting colors of worsted-weight yarn, 1 skein each (DK yarn is ok, too)
- US 8 (5mm) or US 9 (5.5mm) needles
- Yarn/Tapestry needle.
- Bottle of water or soda
- Some chocolate to share wouldn’t go amiss (optional)
