Description: You don’t need a green thumb for this potted plant! Come make a needle felted succulent—no seeds or soil required! Tracy will help you keep it as imple or make it as fancy-shmancy as you’d like! We will finish off your succulent by ‘planting’ it in a pot of core wool and add lots of Christmas cheer.
*Note: more detailed options and embellishments will be available for the more experienced felter as time permits.
Materials:
1. You will need 2 medium (38 gauge) needles. Needles break easily, so it’s good idea to have a spare just in case. Tracy will have extras on hand as well.
2. You will also need a small assortment of wool roving—particularly green—and any other colors you like. You don’t have to make it all green if you don’t want to! The brands sold at Yarn It come in approximately 6.3 g (.2 oz) and are more than enough.
You can purchase your materials at Yarn It before class.
The rest of these supplies will be provided: flower pot, core wool, felting pad, needle holders, finger protectors (safety first!), a multi-needle holder for you to try out, cookie cutters, templates, glue, and scissors—as well as a handout of Tracy’s Felting Tips and Tricks and a “Hand Made with Love” sticker if you’d like to give your succulent as a gift.
